1. There shall be a reserved quota of 22% and 6% (=28%) for SCs & STs respectively in each Honours subject and General Streams/Courses.
2. The rules of interchangeability should be followed, i.e. if adequate number of ST candidates is not available, seats should be filled up by SC candidates and vice-versa.
3. The SC/ST candidate selected in the general academic merit list for the unreserved seats should be ignored while complying to the rule of 28% reserved seats, for them.
4. Every SC/ST candidate should apply for admission if he/she obtained minimum qualifying marks for admission i.e.
i) passed H.S. or equivalent for General Course.
ii) has 40% marks on aggregate or 40% marks in the concerned subject in H.S. or equivalent examinations for Honours Course.
5. SC or ST candidates getting admission should have in the previous examination qualifying marks which are not lower by more that 25% from the lowest marks obtained by the candidate admitted under the general category.
