Students' Union

 

The College has a representative students' union and the General Secretary of the Students' Union represents the Students in the Governing Body of the College. The Students' Union not only looks into the academic interest of the students but also manages the co-curricular activities of the College, e.g., cultural competitions, games and sports, observing Bhasha Divas, debate, quiz, blood donation camp etc.

It also organises Nabin Baran Utsav (welcome to new entrants) in the month of September after the admission to first year classes is over. It also performs Saraswati Puja every year in the College premises.

 

 

Rules Regarding Administration

Attendance

1. Attendance at all lectures including tutorial is compulsory. As per University Regulation, a student must attend 75% of lectures delivered in each subject.

In case of low percentage of attendance, not less than 60%, the student may be allowed to fill up the University Examination Form on payment of non-collegiate fee.

2. Names of the students who are irregular in class attendance will be struck off the rolls. The absentee student should produce a letter endorsed by his/her guardian, explaining the reasons for his/her absence, immediately after he/she rejoins classes.

3. In case of sickness of students, guardians, parents are advised to inform the Principal in writing along with a medical certificate to that effect from a Registered Medical Practitioner.

 

 

College Tution Fees

1. All fee must be paid through the fee book supplied.

2. Monthly fees shall be paid by the 10th of every month failing which a late fee at the rate of Re.1/- per month wii be charged extra.

3. Fees once paid are not resunded.

4. The Fee Book and Library Card must be preserved carefully. In case of loss, a duplicate copy will be issued on payment of Rs. 10 each.

5. All fees must be paid only to the cashier at cash-counter(between 11 A.M. and 2.00 P.M.) except Saturday.

6. the name of student will be struck off the register in case he/ she default for three months consecutively. A defaulter may be re-admitted only on the recomendation of the Principal.

 

Code of Conduct

1. Smoking anywhere in the College premises is strictly prohibited. Chewing of Pan / Pan Masala or Gutkha and spitting are strictly prohibited as well.

2. No postering and wall writing shall be allowed in the College premises.

3. Students shall do nothing in contravention of the academic ambience of the College.

4. Students shall put on decent dress, maintain cleanliness and practice healthy habits.

5. Students shall not loiter in the corridors or indulge in noisy or disorderly conduct in the class room, office, common room etc. and within the College campus.

6. Students shall be punctual in attending classes.

7. Students shall observe absolute silence in the library and reading room.

8. Any breach of discipline or any disturbance or adoption of unfair means in the examination hall, shall be strictly dealt with.

9. Principal reserves the right to issue forced T.C. to a student in the event of his/her moral turpitude.

  • Process Oriented, Quality Driven Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya has been accredited by NAAC
  • The College will be offering Honours and Pass Courses in some more new subjects in the coming session
  • The persistent improvement in University Result has made the college more demanding
  • The Administrative Office and some departments of Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya has been shifted to the new RGSN complex
